Hackintosh: Triple-boot Dell Mini 1011
Next page
April 2010: We bought a Dell Mini 10 from the Dell Outlet for £160 delivered.
It came with XP and I'm a Linux user. Also I'd read it would take MacOSX... So,
I wanted to get that working. There is a lot of good information out there, but
I found it difficult to sift through the many many forums and software releases
to find just the right combination which worked. Here's my "recipe" for a
triple-boot Hackintosh. Enjoy.
You'll need:
- BOOT: A small USB stick, anything over 50MB will do.
- DVD COPY: A medium USB stick, anything at 8GB or more will do.
- INITIAL INSTALL: A large USB stick, I used a 16GB one.
- A CD burner. I used a £30 USB CD/DVD-RW off ebay. Works great.
- A Snow Leopard Install DVD. Buy it, it's pretty cheap. Amazon has it for
about £25 at time of writing.
